Chobe is famous for its herds of Elephants, especially in the dry season, this is because the area has limited permanent water and the river attracts wildlife for miles around as the landscape dries out. Activities here include boating safaris and game drives, while the area is busier than other parts of Botswana the wildlife density is fantastic and makes it well worth including in an itinerary.

Here you will stay at Khwai Tented Camp in the Khwai Community area for the next 2 nights. This camp is operated by a fantastic safari outfitter who are bringing excellent value, authentic safaris to Botswana.

Today you will head across the Okavango Delta by light aircraft, an adventure in itself, to the fantastic Pelo Camp, a straight forward kind of camp with some nice touches. This is camp combines well with the drier Khwai area, being in the Jao Flats concession, which is a water orientated area during the flood season June – October, you will spend 2 nights exploring this part of the Delta.
