Day 1 – Victoria Falls
On arrival into Victoria Falls Airport, you will be met and transferred by shared road transfer to the Victoria Falls Hotel, a grand colonial style property on the Zimbabwe said of the falls, this will be your base for the next 2 nights.
This afternoon there will be the opportunity for you to visit Victoria Falls, an incredible spectacle and a fantastic experience.
Day 2 – Victoria Falls
Today you will have a full day to explore Victoria Falls area. There are activities in this area to suit everyone, from scenic helicopter flights over the falls and sundowner cruises along the Zambezi to white water rafting and bungee jumping. Some of the activities are best pre-booked to avoid disappointment but some can be arranged on arrival, we will talk you through the options when putting together your itinerary.
Day 3 – Kwando Reserve
Today you will be picked up and transferred by road to Kasane where you will connect with your light aircraft flight to the fantastic Kwando private reserve. This is one of Botswana’s prime game viewing areas, which, in the dry season especially, offers some of the most rewarding wildlife encounters in Africa. You will stay for the next 3 nights at Lagoon Camp, an amazing place for predators, including Wild Dog as well as large herds of Elephant.
Day 4 and 5 – Kwando Reserve
With a variety of activities that include viewing the regions spectacular wildlife from open safari vehicles, by boat and on foot. There is also catch and release fishing which is a great activity to try even for non anglers, throwing a line in while watching elephants on the river bank is an unforgettable experience.
Day 6 – Okavango Delta
Following a morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the Okavango Delta, here you will spend the next 3 nights at Little Kwara, one of our top picks for those looking for an authentic, wildlife focussed stay.
Day 7 and 8 – Okavango Delta
The area offers a combination of permanent water, seasonal floodplains and pans, open grasslands as well as extensive dry bush and scrub which creates a great game viewing destination throughout the year. Little Kwara is a great small and personal camp that provides a really good standard of accommodation along with great service, however the real plus here is how the operators concentrate on your safari experience and the wilderness you are here to immerse yourself in.
Day 9 – Central Kalahari
Today you will leave the delta and fly south to the vastly different Central Kalahari, a stunning contrast to the north of the country. You will spend the following 2 nights at Tau Pan camp, located in a great position overlooking a permanent watering hole.
Day 10 – Central Kalahari
Tau Pan allows you access into an area that has some of the lowest tourist numbers in Botswana, here you will spend your days searching for the famous Kalahari Black Maine’d Lions and enjoying the solitude of being in a truly off the beaten track wilderness.
Day 11
To day your adventure will come to an end and you will fly to Maun for your onward arrangements.
