Elephant Watch is the ultimate in eco-luxury and an unrivalled wildlife experience in the Samburu area, thanks to its owners being committed to the conservation of all wildlife but especially elephants the camp has strong links with various research teams who are often in camp and available to watch and learn from…
It may not be as luxurious as some of the lodges in the area but it is incredibly authentic and the six en-suite tents are crafted from all-natural materials, including trees felled by elephants, and stand in woodland by the Ewaso Nyiro river. It is really nice to see a camp that is not only focussed on conservation in the traditional and popular sense but also thinks about its direct impact on its local environment and the ongoing positive influence it can have on not just local communities but all communities and conservationists in Kenya.
