Snapshot: This is a brilliant combination of a very classic and classy luxury camp in the amazing Serengeti National Park with a medium sized luxury hotel on the stunning Zanzibar island. Perfect for families trying a safari for the first time and doing it in style.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport you will be met and transferred to a hotel on the outskirts of Arusha for one night (Rivertrees or similar), this night is not always required but after a long flight it is nice to relax and acclimatise in peaceful surroundings before starting your adventure.

Day 2 – Serengeti
This morning you will be driven to Arusha’s domestic airport to catch your light aircraft flight to the Serengeti, where you will take your first game drive from the airstrip to Lamai Serengeti where you will stay for the next 3 nights in a family room.

Day 3 and 4 – Serengeti
Lamai is located in an area of the Serengeti that has great wildlife and is in an exceptional wilderness with fewer other camps than other areas meaning you have a more exclusive and authentic experience. This is the perfect place to enjoy a family safari the rooms are really well appointed and there is a family unit so you can all be together. The safari in this area is great for first timers or repeat safari goers and it is a particularly fantastic location during the summer holidays when it plays host to the wildebeest migration.

Day 5 – Zanzibar
Today you will say goodbye to your guide at the airstrip and catch your light aircraft flight to Zanzibar. Here you will be met and transferred to the north western corner of the island where you will stay at Hideaway of Nungwi for the following 4 nights on an all inclusive basis in two luxury junior suites.

Day 6 to 8 – Zanzibar
Hideaway offers a number of activities from snorkelling and reef walks to visits to spice plantations and stone town for more cultural excursions. There is a small but gorgeous beach below the small sea cliff and a lovely swimming pool as well as several restaurants and an activities centre to make sure that you and the kids are kept entertained. For families with children under 12 there is also a kids club on site.

Day 9
Today you will head back to the airport after a fantastically relaxing end to your family holiday, you connect from Zanzibar with your onward flights.
