Snapshot: This is a superb value family itinerary visiting two different but equally rewarding safari areas. Zambia is a great destination for those with slightly older children as this enables them to take part in the variety of activities on offer from walking to canoeing as well as the usual game drives.
Itinerary
Day 1 – South Luangwa
Arrive at Lusaka airport this morning where you will connect with your onward flight to Mfuwe for the South Luangwa. You will be met and driven to Flatdogs Camp where you will stay in the brilliant Crocs Nest, perfect for families. Flatdogs is located close to the main Mfuwe Gate of the South Luangwa National Park, you will stay here for the next 3 nights on a full board basis (excludes drinks).
Day 2 and 3 – South Luangwa
The Crocodiles Nest is a tented house which is totally self contained, you will have your own driver/guide and scout and meals from the main restaurant can be delivered and eaten in your own communal area or you can head to the main area to dine.
The location of the camp is fantastic for wildlife viewing having the highest density of big game in this incredible game viewing destinations.
Day 4 – Lower Zambezi
Today you will be transferred back to the airstrip where you will fly to Lusaka and on to the Lower Zambezi. Here you will be met by you guide who will transfer you to Anabezi Luxury Tented Camp where you will spend the next 4 nights in the Family Suite on a fully inclusive basis (excludes premium drinks). This fantastic itinerary includes a stay 4 pay 3 offer so you get incredible value at a top quality property.
Day 5 and 6 – Lower Zambezi
The Lower Zambezi is a great place for families with slightly older kids because of the range of activities available to keep everyone entertained and interested. Not only is it an incredible safari destination but it is also possible to include canoeing and walking safaris as well as fishing on the Zambezi for tiger fish. This safari will offer your family a truly unforgettable experience and create memories that you will share for years to come.
Day 7
Today you will transferred back to Royal Airstrip for your proflight Zambia flight to Lusaka and your onward arrangements. Look at the extension options below to add some relaxation or something different to the end of this itinerary.

- Lake Malawi “beach” extension – There are a few options of places to stay but by far the best is the idyllic Kaya Mawa on Likoma Island.
- Victoria Falls – If you fancy winding down for a couple of days after safari then this is a good option, as a bonus you get to see one of the seven wonders of the world!
