Snapshot : This is a classic Zambian safari, focused on both comfort and overall experience. It is a very typical highlights of Zambia trip covering not only fantastic safari with great guides but also a chance to see an incredible natural wonder and with a few days to relax at the end.
Itinerary
Day 1 – South Luangwa
On arrival in Lusaka you will connect with your Proflight Zambia flight to Mfuwe, here you will be met by your guide and transferred into the South Luangwa National Park where you will spend 4 nights at Lion Camp.
Day 2 to 4 – South Luangwa
On safari in the South Luangwa. From Lion Camp you can go on both walking and driving safaris, depending on the time of year you can go on all day drives to explore the more remote areas of the park, and sit under a tree with a bush lunch watching the wildlife go by…
Day 5 – Lower Zambezi
This morning you will be transferred back to Mfuwe airport for your flight to Lusaka, here you will connect on to the Lower Zambezi where you will stay for the next 4 nights at Chongwe River Camp.
Day 6 to 8 – Lower Zambezi
A big draw of the Lower Zambezi is the number of activities that are available. You can head out canoe safaris, boat safaris, go tiger fishing and of course both walking and driving safaris.
Day 9 – Livingstone
Today you will fly from the Lower Zambezi to Lusaka and on to Livingstone. Here you will be transferred to the lovely Tongabezi on the banks of the Zambezi for 2 nights to slow down the pace a bit.
Day 10 – Livingstone
Here at the Falls, after a safari trip, it is nice to just take it easy, visit the falls, maybe go on a sundowner cruise….however, if you are still feeling adventurous there are plenty of activities to fill your time, from scenic flights to white water rafting and everything in between.
Day 11
This afternoon you will fly from Livingstone, either back to Lusaka or internationally to Johannesburg depending on your homeward bound flights.

POSSIBLE EXTENSIONS
- Lake Malawi “beach” extension – There are a few options of places to stay but by far the best is the idyllic Kaya Mawa on Likoma Island.
- Victoria Falls – If you fancy winding down for a couple of days after safari then this is a good option, as a bonus you get to see one of the seven wonders of the world!
- Cape Town – Feel like a city break with good food, good wine and a bit of culture, you can easily fly from Victoria Falls to Cape town and enjoy a few days before a direct flight back to the UK.
