Tanzania is one of the most diverse countries in Africa, from the endless plains of the Serengeti and Ruaha National Parks to the tropical palm fringed oxbow lakes of the Selous Game Reserve, from the stunning views on rim of the Ngorongoro crater to the beaches of Zanzibar it is one of the few places that really does have something for everyone.
There are so many options for safari in Tanzania that it has very deservedly become one of Africa’s premier destinations. The National Parks that make up Tanzania’s Northern Circuit safari are some of the most famous in Africa with the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti heading the bill being the cradle of mankind and hosting the annual wildebeest migration, while the south and west are arguably home to some of the most remote and rewarding wilderness areas in Africa.
Top Tanzania itineraries
Tanzania is most definitely a year round destination taking into consideration the number of different environments, there are, however, some camps and areas that are only open for certain periods of the year as well as some that we would not recommend during specific times of year, to find out more give us a call or drop us an email.
Unfortunately there are currently there are no direct flights from the UK to Tanzania, the best ways to get into either Northern or Southern Tanzania is either with Kenyan Airways, Emirates, KLM and a few other indirect airlines.
Tanzania offers an incredible range of activities depending on where you are, classic driving safaris are a mainstay but there are also many variations including boating safaris in the Selous, walking safaris, sleepouts and even balloon safaris.
