Snapshot: This is our classic Namibia driving itinerary with upgraded properties for those looking for a bit of extra luxury while travelling around this incredible country.
Day 1 – Windhoek
Today you will arrive at Windhoek international airport where you will be met and greeted by one of our guys on the ground, you will collect your hire car (Double Cab 4×4 or similar) and make your way to Olive Exclusive for 1 night in a Junior Suite on a bed and breakfast basis. Here you can relax and take it easy after your long journey.
Day 2 – Sossusvlei
This morning head out of the city and into the Namibian deserts, your first stop is the Namib-Naukluft National Park, home of the famous Sossusvlei and Deadvlei dunes. You will make your way to the funky and luxurious Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, one of the top properties in the area if not Namibia.
Day 3 – Sossusvlei
This area is simply amazing and is what most people think of when they think of Namibia. There are a number of activities that can be arranged with the lodge if you want guided activities, these can be booked on arrival or prior to travel.
Day 4 – Swakopmund
Today you will head to what was the main trading post on the whole of the Namibian coast and beyond during its time as German West Africa. Swakopmund is around 4.5hrs drive and an iconic stop on any journey through Namibia. Here you will stay at The Strand Hotel, a modern and centrally located hotel that is new to Swakopmund, stay here for the following 2 nights.
Day 5 – Swakopmund
Swakopmund has so much to offer, from adventure activities such as quad biking, kyaking and even sky diving to fantastic living desert tours in the dunes and visits to the Walvis Bay seal colony. These activities can be arranged on arrival but with limited time here it is advisable to book anything you are really keen on before travelling.
Day 6 – Damaraland
Leaving the coast you will head to Damaraland, one of the most fascinating areas of desert in the country, this drive is around 6hrs through the outskirts of the Skeleton Coast and through some spectacular scenery. Spending the next 2 nights at the incredible Damaraland Camp you will have access to some of the most spectacular wilderness in the country and some opportunities for brilliant activities.
Day 7 – Damaraland
Exploring this vast and rewarding area can be done either independently or on activities led by the lodges professional guides. We can pre arrange activities such as walking and nature drives or they can be booked when you arrive at the lodge.
Day 8 – Etosha
Once again you will head north, this time on your way to what is undoubtably Namibia’s premier wildlife destination, Etosha, this drive is approximately 3.5hrs and takes you to the private Ongava Concession on the southern edge of the National Park. Staying on a full board basis at Little Ongava. you will have one of the most authentic and exclusive experiences available in Etosha. Stay here for the next 2 nights.
Day 9 – Etosha
Activities here focus on the private concession and include drives and walks, if you would like to combine private exploration with guided activities then this can be done on arrival, if you would like all guided activities during your stay then it is possible to include this in the nightly rate.
Day 10 – Etosha
Heading through Etosha National Park itself you will have a chance to explore at your own pace, game driving your way through the park to Onguma Tented Camp where you will spend the next 2 nights on a full board basis. Located on the eastern edge of Etosha this gives you a new area to explore.
Day 11 – Etosha
Today you can head back into the main Etosha park to search for Lion, Elephant, Kudu and the many other species that wander from watering hole to watering holes.
Day 12 – Okonjima
Heading south now and towards the capital you will stop off at the home of the AfriCat foundation and spend 2 nights at Okonjima Bush Camp, in a suite. This is an incredibly unique destination offering a chance to get up close to big cats and to be part of a great conservation project. The drive here is between 2.5-3hrs and you will stay on a full board basis.
Day 13 Okonjima
It is well worth spending a full day here and taking part in some of the activities such as large Carnivore tracking, the Cheetah project and nature trails. These activities can be booked on arrival but for the popular ones such as tracking it is advisable to book in advance or to include the activities in a fully inclusive package.
Day 14
Today you will have some time at Okonjima before once again heading south to Windhoek where you will meet you onward arrangements. The drive to the airport is around 3hrs although some time should be left in case of traffic around the city.

2 nights Etendeka Mountain Lodge (full board, excluding drinks and Activities)

2 nights Okonjima Bush Camp (full board, excluding drinks and Activities)
Pricing: £5,965 per person
All pricing is given as a guideline, as all our itineraries are tailor made actual costs will depend on dates, passengers and exchange rates as well as any alterations to the itinerary.
Inclusions: full board or bed and breakfast accommodation as per itinerary, car rental of Double Cab 4×4 or similar (two wheel drive is cheaper and possible in the dry season, however a 4 wheel drive gives more comfort and flexibility).
Exclusions: International flights, activities at lodges (these can be booked individually or included in the rate of many lodges for an extra cost), drinks, tips, fuel and vehicle extra’s (Sat Nav, insurance cover etc)
