Tarangire is a park that is hugely underrated and when it is in season it is criminal not to include it in a northern circuit itinerary. We could even argue that at stay at Olivers will end up being the highlight of your trip, even over the more famous parks on this trip. There are a few reasons for this but it all comes down to the quality of the safari and the camps location.
There are a lot of very nice touches in the 10 luxury tents and it is clear that a lot of attention has gone in to create a feeling of understated luxury, however, while all of this does make life more aesthetically pleasing it is not the reason we like this camp. The guiding here is very good and it is one of the few places in northern Tanzania that you can take part in fly camping, all in all it is one of the most authentic experiences in this part of the country.
Olivers also has a neighbour, Little Olivers, which is smaller with only 5 tents and works well for large families or groups travelling together so they get exclusive use of the camp.
Olivers fits nicely into a northern circuit itinerary including other stylish tented camps, either with other Asilia camps (who operate this camp) or with a few other high end operations. Which combination works best will depend on a number of factors, including time of year, camp locations, other parks to be included, special offers etc.
