This is quite a straight forward camp but along with its sister property (Lake Manze) it offers probably the best value within the Selous Game Reserve. The camp is in one of the busier areas inside the park but it is busier because the game is fantastic and when we say busier we are not talking Masai Mara or Ngorongoro Crater busy, we are talking busy for the Selous.
The camp has 8 well appointed tents, these are classic safari tents put together well and with a good reputation for guiding and overall experience. We like that the camp does not try too hard to be luxury, it offers a good trip at great value and due to having some specifically designed tents is great for families.
Selous Impala is located right on the banks of the Rufiji river and offers all the usual activities for this reserve, walks, drives and boating safaris. This camp is perfect for those looking for an excellent value southern Tanzania safari, Impala combines well with Mdonya Old River in Ruaha National Park making a great little southern circuit.
