Snapshot: An excellent overview of some of our favourite areas in South Africa, the beautiful Cape Town, followed by some stunning scenery in the Winelands and finally a safari in South Africa’s premier game viewing area.
Itinerary
Day 1 – Cape Town
Arriving at Cape Town airport you will collect your hire car and make your way to the fantastic MannaBay where you will spend the next 3 nights exploring Cape Town, from Table Mountain to the Cape’s beaches. You will stay here on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2 and 3 – Cape Town
MannaBay is in the perfect location to go out and explore but to retreat from the hustle and bustle when you need peace and tranquility. There is also a complimentary chauffeur service for evening meals which means that you can go out and experience some of South Africa’s world class restaurants without having to concern yourself with transport.
Day 4 – Winelands
Today you will make your way to the Winelands where you will stay at the Babylonstoren for the next 2 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. There is plenty to keep you occupied at this Cape Dutch farmstead but it is also a fantastic base from which to explore.
Day 5 – Winelands
Babylonstored has its own vinyard and winery but the area is home to many other top quality wine producers. Today you can get out and explore these along with the quaint towns in between with their cafes, restaurants and wine bars.
Day 6 – Knysna
Today you will make your way along the Garden Route, South Africa’s stunning southern coastline. You will leisurely make your way to Knysna where you will spend the next 3 nights at the boutique Kanonkop House.
Day 7 and 8 – Knysna
From here you can strike out and explore the whole area from the Knysna bay and the surrounding wilderness areas to the beaches of Plettenberg.
Day 9 – Kareiga Reserve
You will continue to make your way along the Garden Route today and head towards the Kareiga Game Reserve. Here you will stay for the next 3 nights at the fantastic Settlers Drift Camp on an inclusive basis and enjoy a luxury African safari experience in this private reserve.
Day 10 and 11 – Kareiga Reserve
This is a brilliant malaria free safari option to end your trip. Being a private reserve on the Eastern Cape it offers a very unique safari experience that combines luxury with wildlife without any internal flights.
Day 12
Today it is time to start making your way home, you will drive to Port Elizabeth airport where you will drop your hire car and meet your onward arrangements.

- Beach – For a truly chilled out end to your trip why not add a stay on the beach. Flying back through Johannesburg opens up a number of destinations including Mozambique, the Seychelles and Mauritius.
