This is the perfect place to start your trip, far enough from the hustle and bustle of the falls but close enough to enjoy all the activities.
This afternoon there will be the opportunity for you to visit Victoria Falls, an incredible spectacle and a fantastic experience.
Day 2 – Livingstone
Today you will have a full day to explore Victoria Falls area. There are activities in this area to suit everyone, from scenic helicopter flights over the falls and sundowner cruises along the Zambezi to white water rafting and bungee jumping. Day 3 – Selinda Reserve
Today you will be picked up and transferred by road to Kasane where you will connect with your light aircraft flight to the Selinda private reserve. The area of private reserves to the north of the Okavango is known for some of the best wildlife densities in the country, especially during the dry season. The fantastic Zarafa Camp is one of the top properties for guiding, wildlife and a truly authentic safari experience, the perfect place for a 3 night stay.
Day 4 and 5 – Selinda Reserve
With a variety of activities that include viewing the regions spectacular wildlife from open safari vehicles, by boat and on foot. There is also catch and release fishing which is a great activity to try even for non anglers, throwing a line in while watching elephants on the river bank is an unforgettable experience.
Day 6 – Okavango Delta
Following a morning activity (time permitting) and breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to the Okavango Delta, here you will spend the next three nights at Duba Plains, a camp that we absolutely love, this is truly safari in style, you will spend the following 3 nights here. The camp is in one of the best areas of the delta and offers an excellent standard of accommodation but does not lose sight of the fact that we come here for the wildlife and the wilderness.
Day 7 and 8 – Okavango Delta
While this is top end safari in terms of accommodation it also delivers on the safari experience. Duba Plains has been rebuilt for 2017 and we like that rather than building a hotel in the bush they have kept the authentic feeling throughout without sacrificing on luxury. This area has a real mix of landscapes and habitats which means that you get a rounded Okavango Delta experience.
Day 9 – Central Kalahari
Today you will leave the delta and fly south to the Makgadikgadi Pans, you will spend the following 2 nights at San Camp, both the camp and the area are completely unique and a total contrast from the north of the country that you have spent your time exploring.
Day 10 – Central Kalahari
San Camp is located on the edge of the famous Makgadikgadi Pans, this is an amazing open wilderness and one of the best places in Africa to sit out and star gaze, it is also home to habituated Meerkats which make a fascinating excursion along with interacting with the local Bushmen and quadbiking on the pans.
