Duration: 10 Nights
When: Year Round
Snapshot: A great option for those looking to indulge in luxury both on safari and at the beach. This is a lovely itinerary that is suitable for families with children of 6 and up.
Itinerary
Day 1
Arriving in Dar es Salaam you will be transferred to the domestic terminal where you will catch your light aircraft flight to the Selous Game Reserve. Here you will stay for the next 4 nights at the luxurious and remote Azura Selous. A great place for families with loads of special activities to keep kids entertained, older kids can even take part in walking safaris and fishing.
Day 2 to 4
Azura Selous is located in one of the most out of the way areas of the reserve, this part of the reserve was once set aside for hunting but has now been turned over to wildlife safaris, for this reason the game can be harder to find but this ads to the fun and searching for the wildlife makes for an authentic safari. Not only this but because of the location there are very few other vehicles which is one of the most amazing and rewarding parts of a safari to a remote area.
Day 5
Today you say goodbye to your guides and leave the Selous, you will fly from Azura Selous to Zanzibar, where you will be met and transferred to Baraza for the next 6 nights in 2 bedroom family villa. Baraza is one of the best luxury family hotels on Zanzibar, it offers loads to do both on site and off.
Day 6 to 10
From trips to the capital of Stone Town and local spice farms to watersports there is plenty to keep kids entertained. The food and service at this property are some of the best that we have come across on the island.
Day 11
Today you will be transferred back to Zanzibar airport, sadly it is time for your family holiday to end, from here you will connect with your onward flights.
